Our Vision

Our vision is for Windsor Lodge
  • To be acknowledged for our consistently high standards of quality care and professionalism
  • To be a role model for other care homes to aspire to and to be the care home of choice within South Bucks for older people
  • To be acknowledged as a great place to work because we care about our staff as well as our residents

Care Services

The main aims of the Home are to provide residents with a homely, safe and caring atmosphere to improve and maintain their well-being.

Our main objectives are to:
  • Enable a positive contribution to society
  • Facilitate an individual’s right to privacy, dignity and respect
  • Empower people to live as fulfilling a life as possible, by maintaining their independence
  • Maximise people’s quality of life

The Home prides itself on catering for holistic, independent care for each resident, where their individuality, privacy and dignity are respected.

We assess the needs of each resident and document a plan of care with them. Staff, residents and their family are empowered to be involved with this continual process and therefore each resident has a nominated Key worker.

Philosophy of Care

At Windsor Lodge, we are committed to providing high quality, personalised care. We believe in caring for others how we would like to be cared for.

By actively encouraging independence, our residents can make choices in the care they receive, to enhance their well-being. We are committed to improving the quality of life of our residents and acknowledge and value the diversity of cultures and beliefs.

Windsor Lodge values all staff and we are committed to their personal development and endeavour to provide them with the necessary training, support and resources to help them maintain high standards of care.

We aim to provide an open, positive and welcoming atmosphere for all visitors, staff and residents at Windsor Lodge.

The home is an open-planned bungalow and residents have access to all communal areas including the beautiful landscaped gardens.

Residents are encouraged to personalise their rooms with their own possessions, pictures and furniture, to ensure their rooms reflect their individuality.

The home has 24 hour staffing so assistance is available at all times if required.

Meals or snacks can be served in the residents’ private room as requested or in the main dining room with other residents. The home provides three main home cooked meals with refreshments available throughout the day and night and any special dietary requirements can be catered for.

Structured activities are organised with our activities co-ordinator and residents are encouraged to continue hobbies and interests and their usual links within the community. A varied programme is planned including outings to local areas of interest. Alternatively there is a quiet lower lounge to relax in.

Visitors are warmly welcomed and are encouraged to take part in our regular outings. The continuity and familiarity of family and friends is extremely important. Windsor Lodge has an open visiting policy; however, we would encourage visitors to avoid the following times: between 07:00 – 10:00 and 12:00 – 13:30, to allow the residents to have meals in a relaxed atmosphere.
